Nancy Kohn is in partnership with CURE as a Racial Equity Coach. As a seasoned professional with over a decade of public health and food systems experience, Nancy has centered her work on justice and racial equity. Working with NGOS, government agencies, and nonprofits of all sizes, she founded her consultancy, Kohn Strategies, where she strategized, trains, and coaches individuals and organizations for transformational growth.
Previously, Nancy served as the Director of GreenThumb for NYC Parks and as the Director of Nutrition Education for the Philadelphia School District, where she influenced public policy and community development, prioritizing fresh foods, open space and community gardens.
Currently, Nancy is a member of the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger and an appointed member of the Philadelphia Food Policy Advisory Council (FPAC). She is also an Adjunct Professor at Delaware Valley University teaching Food Security and Food Sovereignty. She holds a BA in Political Science from Temple University and an MA in Health Education from Columbia University. Nancy is passionate about empowering individuals and communities, ensuring equity to resources to improve the quality of life for all.
