Fall Embodied Justice Community Gathering
Fall Embodied Justice Community Gathering
Join us on Thursday, October 31st at 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM EST for our Fall Embodied Justice Community Gathering: Rest Easy: Navigating Rest, Resilience and Renewal in Uncertain Times.
Embodied Justice Community Gatherings are quarterly offerings designed to provide a supportive environment specifically for Black changemakers to explore and promote our collective healing and well-being.
As we approach a pivotal election amidst a landscape of ongoing conflicts, misinformation, and collective unease, rest becomes more than a personal act—it is a pathway to resilience and transformation. Whether you are holding fears or hopes for what lies ahead, this workshop offers a space to reflect on how we care for ourselves amid these complexities. Through guided discussion and reflection, participants will explore their relationship with rest, asking: How do we prioritize rest during times of uncertainty? What practices will support our resilience post-election and beyond? How can rest help sustain us in spaces of advocacy, community healing, and social change?
The workshop will conclude with a restorative sound bath (headphones recommended), inviting participants to release tension and nurture a deeper connection to rest as a catalyst for renewal and continued action.
