Sasanka Jinadasa previously served as Director, Equity Strategy and Training. As a long-time consultant with CURE, Sasanka continues to provide curriculum development and often leads facilitation of racial equity trainings and dialogues for our client partners.
An advocate and educator working to end the oppression and criminalization of people who experience social stigma and state violence, Sasanka’s work centers Black and brown people, queer and trans people, women and femmes. Prior to consulting, Sasanka served as the Community Engagement and Technical Assistance Manager at HIPS, where they trained 1000+ individuals on sex work, drug use, harm reduction, and gender including social workers, health departments, college classes, staff, interns and volunteers through multi-session trainings, conference workshops, and coaching. Sasanka graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s in Women, Gender and Sexuality with a concentration in African American Studies and Masters in Public Health focused on Addiction and Overdose as well as Health Finance and Management from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
